Transforming a Dessert Shop Counter with a Warm Aesthetic Using Dried Ta-khian Sai Wood Surface Cladding
A dessert shop interior decoration project that perfectly blends nature with design. For this project, we received a brief from a sign-making shop customer who was looking for wood materials to decorate a counter front to deliver to their own client.
Project Requirements
- Specific Color Tone: Required a yellow wood tone that is not too bright or overwhelming.
- Emphasis on Natural Appeal: Must clearly showcase the wood grain and texture.
- Shop Atmosphere: The material must enhance the image of the dessert shop, making it look warm, inviting, and eye-catching to passersby.
The Perfect Solution: Dried Ta-khian Sai Wood
To address both the color shade and wood texture constraints, the shop considered using Ta-khian Sai wood, with key reasons making this wood type most suitable for decorative work as follows:
1. On-Spec Color
Ta-khian Sai wood features a well-balanced yellowish-brown tone that is easy on the eyes. When used alongside the vibrant color structure of the dessert shop, it helps tone down the boldness and adds a gentle harmony perfectly.
2. Outstanding Wood Texture
The key highlight is the very distinct wood grain and texture. When cut, divided, and installed using a shiplap or overlapping cladding method as seen in the images, it further creates dimensions, making the counter wall look textured and dynamic rather than flat and boring.
3. Durability from the Drying Process
Every piece of wood has undergone proper standard moisture-reducing drying, which helps minimize future issues of wood warping, bowing, or shrinking, giving the customer confidence in long-lasting beauty and easy maintenance.
Project Conclusion
Choosing materials that match the concept elevates the dessert shop counter to look unique, prominent, and inviting for customers to use the service. This is a delivery of quality work that creates a complete impression ranging from the sign shop customer to the dessert shop owner.
